The MUET Test Scheduled Registration and Test Dates.
The following schedule and time table is taken from the MPM website (click here to go there).
Prospective candidates should take the scheduled dates into consideration if you are thinking of taking the MUET (Malaysian University English Test) this year (2012).
Online Registration
Registration is via the Internet. Firstly, candidates should go to the BSN (Bank Simpanan Nasional) to 'buy' the PIN number and then access the MPM website for the registration procedures.
The future candidates should take into consideration the closing dates for the registration. The registration fee is RM100.00 (RM One Hundred).
i want to ask, i already brought MUET pin no on last FEB. If i register for 2nd intake using that pin no can it be do so?

ReplyDeleteThe MUET slip can be printed from the website of the MPM - the MUET page. You may need to login and type in your password. You may need somebody to help you to print it out if you cannot do it yourself. If you are living alone with nobody to help you then you have to do it slowly, read the instructions carefully and print out the slip. It might take time to learn to do it.

ReplyDeleteFor Speaking, you can change the date as there are many days for Speaking 800/2 paper. As for the rest, you cannot change as they are on one certain date. If you don't attend that means you have to take MUET on a later schedule (say November Paper)

If you are scheduled to take the MUET in July and you want to change the speaking test date, you have to see the chief examiner to negotiate your test date.
DeleteIf you missed one paper, that means you missed them all.
If that is the case for the November paper you have to do the registration again, follow the procedure for registration. Pay RM100.00 again. So, do not miss any paper!

DeleteGo to the centre where you're supposed to take the MUET Speaking test and ask to see the chief examiner. Come very early in the morning, eg. 07:30 am - that's when the MUET Speaking is not started yet and the Chief will have the time to address your problems.

ReplyDeleteThey will assign to you on which day that you should come to take the speaking exam. Follow the time-table for your speaking test. If everybody starts to come on whatever day that they like - we might have a terribly horrible situation. Only if you have some unavoidable circumstances (eg. you have a semester exam that you should take) then you can negotiate with the supervisor to arrange for a different date.

ReplyDeleteAt the beginning of the test you are given one minute to go through your speaking "question paper". After that one minute you can ask questions for clarification of anything that you do not understand in the paper.
DeleteAs the speaking test is going on, no more questions will be entertained. You are been given the chance (that 'one minute' chance)to ask at the beginning of the test, make full use of it.
If you ask for 'points', of course it will never be entertained. The examiners will know if you are trying to dig for 'answers' from them. So, be careful - or you will be shamed for trying to manipulate the examiners.

DeleteSoalan yang nak keluar ada dalam simpanan MPM. Tiada siapa yang boleh agak. Sekiranya anda telah banyak membaca di dalam pelbagai bidang maka mungkin anda tidak akan menghadapi masalah. Biasanya, soalan ialah tentang apa-apa yang berlaku dalam masyarakat seharian. Tajuk-tajuk seperti "social problems" atau yang mudah seperti "what to do after graduation" dll. - ialah, macam tu. Yang penting anda menunjukkan kematangan (maturity) dan penuhkan masa yang diberi dalam 'individual presentation' dan 'group discussion'.

Surat itu boleh ditujukan kepada Jabatan Pelajaran (Bahagian MUET). Kerana mereka boleh menolong mengaturkan calon-calon dalam peperiksaan "Speaking" mereka. Kalau dah dalam keadaan 'extreme' - terdesak, datang sahaja ke Speaking test (selagi ia masih berjalan) itu pada hari anda "boleh" ujian. Kalau dah habis hari-hari ujian Speaking itu, anda pun terlepaslah peluang untuk ambil ujian itu. Jangan lupa bawa "Slip" peperiksaan anda dan kad pengenalan.

ReplyDeleteTask A (individual presentation) takes two minutes. Preparation time is given two minutes. Practice these two steps, again and again until you feel good about it. Try to fill 'those two unforgiving minutes with 120 seconds' worth of distance run' (I'm borrowing - with a little 'twist', whose words are those, Kipling?).
DeleteYes, you must try to speak for the full two minutes. If you feel so incapable (language - wise), do the "communicative" way - as long as people "understand you", it's OK. Just speak - as long as you speak, and people understand you, you will be awarded marks. Never mind the "broken" English (they understand why your English is "broken")

DeleteI'm a private candidate for July session. My speaking test will be on 3 July and placed at school. What if the candidates present at that time less than 5 people, like only 4 people. The test will be postponed or just continue?
ReplyDeleteDon't worry too much. It does not happen like that. Usually there are many candidates. There could be a mixture of school students and private candidates. The school goers will come in uniforms and the private candidates not in school uniforms. You are writing about such an extreme situation which is very, very unlikely. So, relax. You're taking an exam!

ReplyDeleteSorry Zara, as far as MUET is concerned - "You miss one (means) you miss IT all!" So, do not miss any papers. MUET literally wants you to take all the four papers. Take IT all or you don't take MUET.
DeleteReally? I have a friend last year, she didnt attend the speaking test but attended the rest of papers, and she got Band 3 (142 marks) but thats not fail right?
Deletezara of course you still can sit the MUET even if you didnt take one of the tests. But 45 marks is very important and it will affect your result.
DeleteThis is a firm answer. MUET means you have to take all the papers. You don't believe it? Call the MPM and ask them about it. You miss one - you miss IT all! Period.
DeleteNobody will stop you if you want to sit for the test when you have your MUET exam slip and your IC. When it comes to the MUET results then the MPM will not give you a valid certificate that says you have successfully done the MUET.

Skrg ini B Inggeris adalah sangat penting di University dan di pelbagai perkara. Univ. mahu MUET utk apply degree & sesetengah U perlukannya utk graduation.

ReplyDeleteDon't worry about that. They will treat you all as MUET candidates. There's no difference between students and private candidates. If they have to mix you then they will mix you. Try to relax and accept it all intelligently.

If your speaking test is at that time then please be punctual, be on time. They will make you wait in the quarantine room. It depends on how they arrange you. It could take a long time or maybe you might finish it quickly if you are in the first group of candidates to be called into the testing room. All the best to you!

ReplyDeleteYou can have a look at the above MUET Tests time-table. You will have to register for every test. For example, if you want to take the November, 2012 Test then you have to watch out for the date that the registration is opened. The results will come out in about two months after the test. Not in 2014.

ReplyDeleteItu anda kena tanya kepada Univ. yg berkenaan. Ada Univ yang akan menerima anda, tetapi, mereka akan minta anda mengambil semula MUET semasa anda di sana. Jika tiada MUET mungkin ijazah atau diploma anda "ditahan" - tidak di serahkan kepada anda selagi anda tiada keputusan MUET yang memenuhi "criteria" mereka.

Please learn to relax! By relaxing you can think more properly. You have to "conquer" your nervousness.
DeleteIf you decide not to show up for the MUET Test without prior notice, nothing will happen. You can register for next year's MUET Tests. As long as you can produce the RM100.00 fee, you can take the MUET over and over again (also pay RM100.00 over and over again). If you miss one paper you can still answer the other papers. You will not get any valid MUET certificate as you have "missed it all". You are considered to have missed all the papers even if you have missed one.

Untuk itu tidak ada masalah. Ambil MUET dan daftar untuk kemasukan ke UiTM. Tidak ada gangguan daripada MUET terhadap kemasukan anda ke UiTM.

Where is Bukit Jalil? Determine whether it is in Selangor or in KL? If it is in KL, then submit the form to KL JPN. If it is in Selangor, then send it to Selangor JPN. Hope this helps.

The results for the November 2012 MUET Papers come out today (8/01/2013). They have opened for registration for those who want to improve their results. Maybe you would like to try to register for the March Papers. Give it a try as you have MUET results from a previous date. You must HURRY! They give you a few days to grab this opportunity.

Eloklah anda bertanya kepada UPU sendiri untuk keterangan yang tepat. Buatlah permohonan itu. Jangan membuat andaian sekarang selagi anda belum membuat permohonan itu (kpd UPU dsbg.)Gunakan masa yang ada sekarang untuk 'research' mencari jawapan kepada soalan anda. ReplyDeleteDo not listen to rumours. If you take the MUET a second time, maybe you will get better results. But ... you'll have to work hard. No shortcuts.
